Note:
Epeira gracilis is a nomen dubium. Based on the
description and the figures of the male genitalia
given in the original description (Menge
1879) the name very likely refers to Larinioides
patagiatus and I list it here in its synonymy. Some authors regard
the type locality of Epeira gracilis to be in
Germany. However, the type locality is given as
"Heubude" and this very likely refers to
Danzig-Heubude (a part of Gdansk) and thus is
located in Poland.
