Kalaphorura burmeisteri (Lubbock, 1873)
Most of the other species of Kalaphorura recognized here have been
synonymized with Kalaphorura burmeisteri in the past. Species
boundaries in Kalaphorura are insufficiently known and the bristle
patterns used for species identification may be variable within a
species as well, but this has not been investigated in detail. Thus,
future changes of Kalaphorura taxonomy are likely. Until further study,
all previously described taxa are here recognized as separate species.

Distribution
Scattered records across Europe, including Germany. However, the
distribution of this species is
unclear due to the problematic taxonomy of Kalaphorura. Records of
"burmeisteri" may refer to other species, while reports of other
species may in fact refer to Kalaphorura burmeisteri.
