Locus typicus: Obora forest, Czech Republic.

Mesaphorura ruseki Christiansen & Bellinger, 1980 (unclear synonym)
Identification
Distribution
Europe. Also recorded from the Balearic islands. If the synonymy of
"ruseki" with "hylophila" is accepted, then this species is also
present in North America.
Biology
This species is known from very different kinds of habitats and, thus,
does not seem to be very demanding as to the type or quality of the
soil. So far only females are known, pointing to a parthenogenetic
reproduction.
