Identification
Distribution
Widely distributed in Europe. Recorded from Austria, Germany,
Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Finland, Denmark, Sweden,
Norway and Spitzbergen, Italy, UK, Czech and Slovak Republic, the
Balcans, the Baltics, Hungary, Bulgaria. There are also several records
from Russia, Lebanon, Algeria and Mexico. These records indicate a
holarctic distribution of this species.
Biology
Recorded from a variety of habitats: Many records are from dry and
sandy meadows, but the species has also been found in deciduous woods
and in moist soils. So
far only females are known.
