Identification

Distribution
The species is widely distributed in Europe, Asia and northern Africa. Before the synonymisation of the taxa glabricula and nigritells, there was only a single record of "glabricula" for Germany, that has been doubted by Stuke (2011), because the species is difficult to identify and the record might be a misidentification. However, since the the taxa glabricula and nigritella have been synonymised, the species is now firmly recorded for Germany.
