Note: The nominal taxon Strandiscocerina strandi Duda, 1942 is
often synonymized with the present species. However, Stuke (2010)
recognizes this taxon as distinct. Given the fact that Stuke (2010)
also presents evidence of two undescribed species in Germany, I have
the impression that the taxonomy of Ditrichophora is in urgent need of
revision and I follow Stuke in removing Strandiscocerina strandi Duda, 1942 from
synonymy.
The nominal taxon Discocerina canzonerii is listed as a synonym based
on the report of Stuke (2010) who writes that the genitalia of olivacea
and canzonerii are identical.
