Note: The nominal taxon Strandiscocerina strandi Duda, 1942 is
often synonymized with Ditrichophora olivacea. However, Stuke (2010)
recognizes this taxon as distinct. Given the fact that Stuke (2010)
also presents evidence of two undescribed species in Germany, I have
the impression that the taxonomy of Ditrichophora is in urgent need of
revision and I follow Stuke in removing Strandiscocerina strandi Papp, 1979 from
synonymy.
Ditrichophora strandi in the definition of Stuke (2010) (who has
studied type specimens) is very similar to Ditrichophora calceata.
However, constant differences exist and the status of two separate
species is therefore retained.
