Original description
Synonyms
Notiphila aenea Waltl, 1837
Note: this species cannot currently be identified with any known
species of Ephydridae. The original description is insufficient and the
whereabouts of the type specimen(s) are not known. It is very likely
that this taxon is a synonym of another Ephydridae (not necessarily a
Notiphila) or
even another dipteran species.

Distribution
Only known from the original description: near Passau (Bayern).
