Zatwarnicki T.
2018. Solving the puzzle of taxonomic position
of the Petroleum Fly by resurrection of
Diasemocera Bezzi from Psilopa Fallén
(Diptera: Ephydridae) with proposed specific
and generic synonymies. Annales Zoologici 68,
527-552.
Identification
Distribution
This species is only known from the northwestern
part of the European territory of Russia.
However, Stuke (2011) reports the find of a
specimen of this species in the Naturmuseum
Augsburg: this specimen has been collected in
Burgwalden near Augsburg in 1937. It is unclear
whether the species still occurs in Bayern
today.
