Note: Previous
authors were not entirely consistent about the
gender of the genus name. Some regarded it as
of female gender, while the majority
considered it to be neuter. The current
consensus is that it is of neutral gender.
Note: Many authors use the species epithet
"seminatione" in an erroneous attempt to
adjust it to the neutral gender of the genus
name. However, seminationis is the genitive
singular of seminatio (lat. "fertilisation")
and thus is a noun in apposition.
