Note: the component
"-cerus" is the latinized form of "keras"
(greek for "horn"). I follow Article 31.2.1.
of the Code where latinized nouns need not
agree in gender with the genus name and their
original spelling is to be conserved. Therefore the
valid name is "erythrocerus" irrespective of
the genus name.
