Identification
Body length: Females measure 1.4 mm to almost 1.9 mm, males are smaller, from 1 to 1.3 mm. Wings sometimes shortened, especially in specimens from Andalusia (Zur Strassen 2003).
Distribution
Western Europe, western Mediterranean.
Biology
Prefers warm/hot habitats. Host plant: broad plant spectrum, including genera Euphorbia, Galium, Reseda. Zur Strassen (2003) gives also "grasses" as host plant, but with no further specification concerning the genus or species of grass.
