Identification

Distribution
Reported from many parts of the Palearctic region including France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, UK, Russia. Records also exist from Greenland and Cuba.

Biology
Lives as a parasite in the intestines of birds. Known from Charadrius hiaticula, Charadrius dubius, Phalaropus lobatus in Europe and Asia. Reported from Charadrius wilsonia from Cuba.
