SCHEDULE

Here you find the suggested course schedule for this semester. Some minor variation may occur. All students are expected to give presentations on the respective topics. There will be groups of two. Each speaker is supposed to talk for at least 25 but no more than 30 minutes so that we have 30-40 minutes time for exercises and discussion at the end of each session. The main textbook is T. Bloor and M. Bloor, The Functional Analysis of English: A Hallidayan Approach, 3rd ed. (London and New York, 2013), which is available in my semester apparatus (TB, UB). The respective chapters should be consulted first but you will need to look at further literature for your presentations, as found, for example, in the Bibliography.
