Here is a selective bibliography containing several publications dealing with English phonetics and phonology. The list is by no means exhaustive.
In class we use the following textbook:

There are also two recommended pronuncing dictionaries, both of which contain a disc with an electronic version including soundfiles. The second of these is listed in the official course description.
