Please read the respective paragraphs in the textbook Albert C. Baugh and Thomas Cable, A History of the English Language, 5th ed. (London and New York, 2002). You can get all handouts for this course at Stud.IP under the section "Daten" shortly before each session.

ASSESSMENT FACTORS
The date and form of the final examination depends on the respective modules (the distribution of contents is merely one possibility and may be subject to change!):

Modules B.EP.43a-B.EP.43e: date of examination announced in relevant PS or S (1/2 lecture material, 1/2 from chosen PS or S); length: 90 mins.

Modules B.EP.26, B.EP.32 and B.EP.33: date of examination announced in relevant PS or S (1/2 lecture material, 1/2 from chosen PS or S); length: 90 mins.

Modules B.EP.24 and B.EP.25: written coursework in chosen PS (1/3 lecture material, 2/3 from chosen PS).

Module M.EP.02: date of examination 17 February; length: 120 mins.

Exchange students, e.g. Erasmus: date of examination 17 February; length: 90 mins.

Repeat exam only for those who do not pass their first attempt: 24 March; length: 90 mins.
