Finding a License Server Host ID

When you install TotalView, the files for the FLEXlm license manager are automatically installed in installdir/flexlm-6.1.

To obtain host information, run the toolworks_hostid script, as follows:

installdir/flexlm-6.1/bin/toolworks_hostid

Note:   Do not use the UNIX hostid command.

This script writes the host name and the FLEXlm host ID value to standard output; for example:

The host name for this machine is: fast-server
The host ID for this machine is:   08122b2cf32d

After sending this information to us, we will respond by sending you a permanent license file.
