Synonyms
Thinoseius spinosus Willmann, 1939
Identification
Size of the female idiosoma is 750 to 830
micrometers. The males are smaller, mostly
around 600 micrometers.
Distribution
Recorded from various places along the Baltic
Sea coast. Presumably widely distributed in
Europe.
Biology
Usually recorded from washed ashore debris on
the sea coast. Also recorded from dunes, shore
and calcareous meadows and humid mixed forests (Salmane
2001).
