Subspecies
Tuberta mirabilis (Thorell, 1871), from
Italy, is sometimes regarded as a possible
subspecies or synonym of the present species. I do
not accept these views here and regard Tuberta
mirabilis as a separate species. I do not
recognize subspecies of Tuberta maerens.
