Identification


Distribution


Common species, recorded from all Bundesländer in Germany. Widely distributed in Europe, but absent from some regions. Does not occur in northern Scandinavia, Greenland and Iceland. Also absent from the mediterranean coastal areas. The species is also known from some locations in western Asia (Caucasus, Turkey). The species has been introduced in North America and New Zealand and is very common there.
