Most authors include the Agnathidae in the Lagriidae as a subfamily, and some authors even include the Lagriidae as a subfamily in a large Tenebrionidae. The comprehensive phylogeny of Hunt et al. (2007)
suggests that the Agnathidae is only distantly related with the
Lagriidae within the Tenebrionoidea and I regard them as separate
families.
