Familia Anobiidae
General information
|
|
Most authors also
include in this family the former separate
family Ptinidae. From morphological data both
groups are very similar and their unification in
a single family seems justified. However, the
recent molecular analysis by Hunt et al. (2007)
suggests that they really are two separate
families. For the time being, I retain the
Anobiidae in the wider sense (including the
Ptinidae) until conclusive evidence is
available.
