Some
authors place this species in the genus Glaphyra. I do not adopt this
notion here: the main difference between Molorchus and Glaphyra is the
length of the third antennal segment. Differences of this sort may
distinguish between species, but cannot distinguish between genera. For
further comments on the validity of the genus name Glaphyra, please see
Molorchus umbellatarum.
