Synonyms

Anisorus quercus (Goeze, 1783)

This species is sometimes placed in the genus Anisorus Mulsant, 1862, while other authors regard Anisorus as a subgenus of Stenocorus Geoffroy, 1762. I agree with the latter opinion, because Anisorus does not have unequivocal characters making it sufficiently different from Stenocorus to justify genus rank.
