Distribution
|
Recorded
from Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Modova. The first
record for Germany dates from 2014 in the Danubian riparian forest near
Bergheim (Bayern) (Weichselbaumer 2014).

Biology
|
This
species feeds on the monkshood Aconitum napellus. The larvae feed within
the stem of the host plant; from the outside only small drill holes can
be seen, but often the whole plant above the drill hole is black and
dry, a clear sign of infestation with the present species. The imagines can be found from May to August.
