Die Körperlänge der Art beträgt 2,5 bis 4 mm. Die Imagines
erscheinen von Mai bis September. Eine bislang ungenügend
untersuchte Art, deren Biologie unbekannt ist. Die Art ist
bislang aus Europa und Teilen Asiens bekannt und es liegen
vereinzelte Nachweise auch aus Nordamerika vor (Huckett 1972;
Huckett 1974).
