Note: Turton placed Acanthia nigricornis
Fabricius, 1794 and Cimex nigricornis Fabricius,
1775 in the same genus Cimex and therefore
replaced the junior secondary homonym with the new
name Cimex nigripennis. However, the two species
are not currently deemed congeneric and thus the
replacement name is not valid.
Note: this is a doubtful species and its identity
is unclear. It is only known from the original
description.
