Kleidocerys ericae
|
|
Subspecies
No subspecies are currently recognized. However,
the status of the taxon grisescens is unclear.
It is currently listed by most authors as
identical to ericae, but might be a separate
subspecies from Tenerife.

Noualhier), 1889 (see note below)
Ischnorhynchus ericae Horvath, 1908
Kleidocerys ericae
(Horvath, 1908)
Ischnorhynchus
truncatulus horvathiana Kirkaldy, 1909
Kleidocerys franciscanus auct. nec Stal, 1860
(misidentification)
Ischnorhynchus resedae auct. nec Panzer, 1797
(misidentification)
Note: the status of Ischnorhynchus
geminatus grisescens is unclear. It has been
described as "var." from Tenerife and thus
cannot be regarded as infrasubspecific. The name
is therefore available and older than
Horvath´s replacement name "ericae". It
should thus take precendence over ericae;
however, I provisionally accept ericae as the
valid name, because it is currently in
prevailing usage.
