Synonyms
Trapezonotus desertus Seidenstücker, 1951
Trapezonotus relictus Roubal, 1955 (lapsus pro
desertus?)
Trapezonotus inglorius Vinokurov, 1990
Trapezonotus dispar auct. nec Stal, 1872
(misidentification)
Note: Trapezonotus inglorius has been regarded
as a separate species, because the shape of its
paramere was believed to be intermediate between
Trapezonotus desertus and Trapezonotus dispar. Recently, however,
the taxon has been placed in
the synonymy of Trapezonotus desertus by Neimorovets
(2006): the diagnostic characters of
Trapezonotus inglorius (especially the shape of
the paramere of the male genitalia) fall within
the intraspecific variation of the present
species. I therefore agree with Neimorovets that
the two taxa are identical.
