Dispons, 1963 (unclear synonym; see note)Note: the identity of Coranus linnavuorii is unclear. It is generally considered as a synonym of either the present species, or of Coranus arenaceus (a species that does not occur in Germany). Identification Distribution Recorded from several European countries including Germany. However, Putshkov and Putshkov 1996 suggest that all European records are in fact misidentifications. They suggest that all records from Europe, the Caucasus region and Asia minor are in fact Coranus griseus. Thus, special care must be take when identifying these species in European material.
