This specimen is conspecific with Saldula xanthochila and thus the name Salda striata would be the senior synonym. However, there are doubts whether the specimen indeed belongs to the original type(s) because it does not agree with the text of the original description (see Lindskog 1995). Thus, Salda striata is a nomen dubium that is tentatively placed in the synonymy of the present species.
