Synonyms
Eurygaster fokkeri Puton, 1892
Identification
Distribution
Endemic to the Alpine regions of Austria and
southern Germany. These two countries therefore
have a special responsibility for the protection
of the species and its habitat.
Biology
Hostplants include grasses of the genus
Calamagrostis, but some authors assume that
older larval stages and imagines might also feed
on other plants. The species apparently
overwinters as imago, but the biology of this
species is insufficiently known.
