The species has been described in the genus Palparia which is of female
gender. The epithet is a declinable adjective (ocelleus meaning "with
many eyelets") and has to be adjusted in gender to the genus name if
transferred from one genus to another. The species is currently
assigned to Euchromius and the original ocellea has to be declined to
ocelleus according to the male gender of Euchromius.
