Identification

Body size
3.5 to 4 mm. Almost fully darkened
forewings. Forewing ground color dark
brown with three small transparent
spots.
The last larval instar is about 3 mm
long and can be distinguished from all
other German species in this family by
the number of antennal segments: the
present species has 8 antennal segments,
whereas all other species have 7 or
less.
