MPI Buffer Diving

When you dive into the buffer fields, TotalView opens a Variable Window. It also guesses what the correct format for the data should be based on the buf-fer's length and the data's alignment. If TotalView guesses incorrectly, you can edit the type field in the Variable Window.

Note:   TotalView does not set the buffer type using the MPI data type.
