Welcome to our Homepage. On the
right the head of the department Prof. Dr.
Christiane Gatz (since 1996) and the founder of
the institute Prof. Dr. Albrecht von Haller
(1736-1753). The laboratories of the department
are located in the Schwann-Schleiden-research
center for molecular cell biology on the northern
campus. You will find some information on
the activities of the department in research and
