Menge, 1873 (misspelling? misidentification?)Agroeca gaunitzi Tullgren, 1952 Note: allegedly the type specimens of Philoica linotina are not conspecific with Agroeca brunnea and instead belong to Agroeca proxima. If true, Philoica linotina is not to be placed in the synonymy of Agroeca brunnea, but rather would be a senior name for Agelena proxima. I have currently no further information on this taxonomic problem.
