The taxon Euophrys mottli Kolosvary, 1934 is based on a single immature specimen. This specimen is apparently lost, but based on the original description, Breitling et al. 2016 suggest that the specimen might actually belong to the present species. They do not, however, synonymize the names and regard Euophrys mottli as a nomen dubium.
