Only the nominate form has been recorded in Germany. Konstantinov (1998) lists the taxon graeca in the synonymy of delicatula. However, he then writes that "although A. delicatula [is] slightly smaller and has a coarser wrinkles on the vertex I consider these names conspecific". The term "conspecific" does not imply taxon identity (=synonymy), but only that the taxa belong to the same species. Because all subspecies of a species are also conspecific, and because there are minor, but apparently constant geographic differences, I regard the two taxa as separate subspecies.
