This species originally occurs in eastern Asia, but has been accidentally introduced in several countries outside Asia (e.g. Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Hungary, south-western Russia). In Germany, the first specimen has been recorded in 2015 (Werner et al. 2016), and in the meantime the species appears to be firmly established (Steinbrink et al. 2019).
