The taxon albinervis has been regarded as a synonym of Fannia lugubrina (a species not yet recorded from Germany), but
Pont (2002) has studied the type material and concluded that albinervis must be placed in the synonymy of the present species.
Pont (2002)
has also studied the type material of the taxon "glaucescens". He found
that the type material comprised several species, none of which
corresponded to the species known as "Fannia glaucescens". He selected a
lectotype that is conspecific with the present species, thus making
"glaucescens" a junior synonym of the present species. For the species
previously called "Fannia glaucescens" the name Fannia lucidula is now
the valid name.
