This is a mediterranean species. The first record for Germany has been published by Hamers 2018: a single specimen has been found near Geilenkirchen (Nordrhein-Westfalen). The provenance of this single specimen is unclear, and Hamers 2018 discusses the possibility that it has been accidentally displaced by military aircraft, because a nearby military airfield also operates frequent reconnaissance missions to the mediterranean region.
