Biology
The species is a parasite of flies of the genera Calliphora, Chrysomya, Delia, Hydrotaea, Lucilia, Musca, Muscina, and Stomoxys. This suggests that the species has a broad spectrum of host species, and that the hitherto recorded hosts may only be a fraction of the true host species spectrum. Most of these dipteran genera also have representatives in Germany that may therefore serve as the host species in Germany.

Adults apparently emerge during late spring and early summer, but there may be several generations, because there are also records later in the year. Peris-Felipo (2016) lists specimens collected in Germany between mid May to September.
