Biology
The species lives in forests with sufficient amounts of dead wood. The
larvae feed on dead wood of Prunus, Quercus. They hatch in late summer,
overwinter, and then pupate in April. The pupa is encased in a silk cocoon and
rests until May or June. Imagines are on the wing from May to July.
