Distribution

Germany: occasionally recorded in the eastern part of Germany (these
birds are strays/accidentals from Scandinavia: in years with limited
food resources some birds migrate south and may reach Germany).
Europe: Breeding in Scandinavia, has also bred in Poland (Peterson et al. 1983).
