Starting TotalView on a Serial Line

Start TotalView on the host machine and include the name of the serial line device. The syntax of this command is:

    totalview -serial device[:baud=num] filename

where:

device

The name of the serial line device on the host machine.

num

The serial line's baud rate. If you omit the baud rate, TotalView uses a default value of 38400.

filename

The name of the executable file.

For example:

totalview -serial /dev/term/a test_pthreads
