So far only known from Denmark and Sweden.
Karsholt and Sumpich (2015)
tentatively include specimens from Turkey and Morocco, but state that
they differ slightly in size and colouration and therefore might
represent a separate species.
The species has not been recorded from Germany so far, but its
occurrence on the southern part of Bornholm Island, Denmark suggests
that the species might also occur along the southern Baltic Sea coast.
Furthermore, the species is very similar to Nothris lemniscellus and has
been recognized only in 2015 as a separate species. Its true range is
therefore still incompletely known and it may have been overlooked or
misidentified so far. All finds of Nothris specimens along the German
Baltic Sea coast should therefore be identified very carefully.
