Distribution
So far this species has been recorded in the
southern half of Europe including Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic,
Slovakia, Italy, Greece and Spain. There is only a single find in
Germany from near Landshut (Bayern) (
Segerer et al. 2015), but the species is difficult to identify and may actually be more widespread in Bayern.
Biology
The larva feeds on Quercus, mainly on Quercus
pubescens, but likely also on other species e.g. Quercus robur and
Quercus petraea.
