Its occurrence in Germany is debated. The species is extremely similar to Pammene gallicolana and Wolff (1973) has shown that it has regularly been misidentified as Pammene gallicolana in Denmark and Sweden. The species has subsequently also been recorded from the Netherlands (Van Nieukerken et al. 1993). It is therefore possible that the species also occurs in Germany, but has so far been misidentified as Pammene gallicolana; I suggest that future finds of putative Pammene gallicolana in Germany should be carefully checked for their species identity.
