In order for your application to the Faculty of Medicine in Göttingen to be successful, you will need to fill out three separate forms:
Complete the Application Form for Incoming Students, not forgetting to get it signed by both yourself and the
ERASMUS-Coordinator of your home university. Do not forget the department stamp of the ERASMUS Coordinator as validation of the document!
In addition, you will need to fill out a Learning Agreement, providing us with information on the courses and lectures in which you wish to take part during your stay in Göttingen.
It is your responsibility to put together the list of courses you wish to take whilst in Göttingen. Furthermore, it is your responsibility to make sure that your course timetable is possible, and that the
courses you wish to take do not clash timewise with others on your timetable. Be aware that practicals need to be completed in full in order to receive the required accreditation, and that attempting to take part in
more than one practical at any time will lead to none being completed successfully!
Please consult the document “
Infoheft für Studierende der Humanmedizin” (in German only) for information on the semester timetables. Use these to plan your timetable during your stay in Göttingen. Further information may be found in the
most up to date University lecture guide for the Faculty of Medicine here, which is at present only available in German.
Please be aware that most courses and lectures are repeated each semester in Göttingen. As such, it is extremely important for the planning of your timetable in Göttingen that you tell us in which semester you
wish to take a particular course or lecture. Furthermore, please remember to add the ECTS-Code and number of credit points for each of the courses you list. The ECTS-Guide for the Faculty of Medicine will be
available in due course. You will generally need to discuss and justify your choice of courses you wish to take in Göttingen with your Dean of Studies or ERASMUS-Coordinator prior to your application being sent
to us.
The final document you need to fill out is the Registration for the ERASMUS Office of the University of Göttingen. On receiving this form, we forward it to the ERASMUS Office directly. This form is
necessary to inform the ERASMUS Office of your accommodation wishes and whether you wish to take part in an intensive German language course prior to the start of the semester.
Officially and on your
behalf, the ERASMUS-Coordinator of your home university must send all your application documents directly to the Office of International Relations of the Faculty of Medicine. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept
applications sent by individual students either with or without the official acceptance of participation in the Programme by the ERASMUS Coordinator.
